He arranged a time and day to come back and do the repair I requested and he came back as arranged and very quickly sorted my roof problem. "We paid Scotia Roofing over £1200 to replace front and back fascia and guttering. There'd never previously been an issue with the guttering over 10 years living here - but the fascia was ageing and the lot needed replaced. Peter assured us that we'd have the same guttering type placed, with a 10 year guarantee. However a shallower guttering was placed without our permission and within weeks as soon as heavy rains hit, it was hemorrhaging water at the front. After weeks of repeatedly contacting Peter, and continually being ignored or dismissed with various excuses, we sought other tradespeople. They confirmed that not only the wrong guttering type was used for our roof type, but it was also a badly done job. They themselves were shocked that it was Scotia Roofing who'd done it. Due to the severity of the front leak, we had someone else change it and requested Peter for a refund for this section. Several weeks and many excuses later, we did eventually get £300 back from Peter. At this time, I also told him that the back guttering was leaking badly due to what we now knew was the wrong guttering type and a badly done job too - and under even the standard one year guarantee - we therefore wanted it replaced. ***He flatly refused to honour his one year gaurantee***, stating there was nothing wrong with the guttering. He was also by this time making personal attacks on how i was speaking to him because i was using 'big words' (having referred to his lack of professionalism). By this point, I could not deal with this man anymore. Therefore, I don't personally recommend Peter and Scotia Roofing at all. If you do take up their services, I suggest establishing written agreement on exact work to be done, type materials used, guarantee time, date completed etc - just to cover yourselves."
